New on XpertHR This Week - 7/16/2012

Last week, we promised updated social media content and, this week, we delivered it. We also completed three new states and added three tasks to help employers prevent legal disputes and, when best efforts fail, to navigate through the internal investigation and arbitration/mediation process. That's not all. For our union employers, we've included two important new policies.

Three New States Completed

We've completed our comprehensive new compliance information for three more states!

Those states are:

  1. Florida (completed July 11th);
  2. Missouri (completed July 9th); and
  3. West Virginia (completed July 11th).

This brings the number of states completed for our subscribers to 37.

Our authors and editors are diligently working on the remaining states! The remaining states will be released this month (bringing us to 51 "states", including the District of Columbia).

Social Media Survival Guide

A torrential storm of social media developments has been unleashed and XpertHR is an employer's key to survival.

After spending the last week buried under state and federal social media developments, Legal Editor, Beth Zoller, has finally come up for air. And she brought something with her - a summary of the state and federal trends and a roundup of XpertHR's updated social media content.

From Prevention to Arbitration, XpertHR Has You Covered!

Avoiding arbitration or litigation -- It's why certain employers hire in-house counsel. It's why most employers adopt policies and procedures. Despite employers' preventative measures, however, arbitration, mediation and litigation still happen. XpertHR has added a few tasks to help HR professionals navigate the process, from prevention through education to internal investigations to participating in the arbitration/mediation process.

New Labor Relation Policies

We've added two new policies for our union employers:
